The XVII International Film Festival “Eurasia” will be held in Almaty from November 24 to 30, 2024

From November 24 to 30, 2024, Almaty will host the XVII International Film Festival “Eurasia” - the largest film forum in the country and the only film festival in Central Asia, accredited by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF). The founder and organizer of the festival is traditionally the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The direct organization of the film festival is entrusted to the National Film Studio “Kazakhfilm” named after Shaken Aimanov. This is symbolic, because this year Kazakhfilm is celebrating several anniversaries at once. First, it is the 90th anniversary of the studio itself. Secondly, this year is the 110th anniversary of the birth of Shaken Aimanov, an outstanding master of Kazakhstani cinema, and 40 years since Kazakhfilm was named after him. The upcoming film festival will be held under the sign of these anniversaries, which will be emphasized.
