Kazakhfilm Participates in an International Silk Road Event in China

National Film Studio «Kazakhfilm» named after Shaken Aimanov took part in the Silk Road Outstanding Films Exchange and Promotion Event, held on September 20–22 in Xi’an, China, as part of the 13th Silk Road International Film Festival.
As part of the event, representatives of Kazakhfilm held working meetings with international film market participants, discussing prospects for co-production, film distribution and theatrical release, as well as further professional cooperation.
One of the key meetings was held with Wen Wanliang, General Manager of Shaanxi Xiying Digital Media Technology Co., Ltd.
During the meeting, representatives of Kazakhfilm were introduced to the company's production and technological capabilities, including the use of artificial intelligence (AI), extended reality (XR), virtual production and robotics in filmmaking.
The parties discussed prospects for implementing advanced technological solutions in film production, exchanging professional expertise and developing potential areas for further cooperation.
Kazakhfilm’s participation in the international event in Xi’an contributed to promoting national cinema on the international stage, expanding professional networks and strengthening cooperation between representatives of the film industries of Kazakhstan and China.
Events of this kind provide additional opportunities to showcase the production and technological potential of Kazakhstan’s film industry, establish new partnerships and develop joint film projects.
