Kazakhfilm Holds Talks with International Partners at the Film Market in Busan

The Shaken Aimanov National Film Studio "Kazakhfilm" participated in the Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM) 2026, held from October 10 to 13 in Busan, Republic of Korea.
Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM) is an international platform bringing together film industry professionals, distributors, and audiovisual content producers.
The studio was represented by Madina Nusipbekova and Asem Ramazanova. During the event, business meetings were held with film industry representatives from South Korea, Mongolia, India, Sweden, the United States, Russia, and Kyrgyzstan.
India's Ramoji Film City expressed interest in the joint production of a comedy film. Representatives of the Tribeca and Moscow International Film Festivals requested materials on new Kazakhstani films to consider their potential inclusion in upcoming festival programs.
Bök Content, Sunrise Media Group, and representatives of Asiatiska Film Festival expressed interest in acquiring screening rights for Kazakhstani films and animated productions.
In addition, international partners expressed interest in using filming locations in Kazakhstan and Kazakhfilm's production facilities for future film projects.
Participation in ACFM 2026 opens up new opportunities for strengthening international cooperation, developing film co-productions, promoting Kazakhstani films in foreign markets, and expanding their presence at international film festivals.
