Kazakhfilm Presents Kazakhstani Cinema at MIPCOM 2026 in Cannes

From October 12 to 15, representatives of the Shaken Aimanov National Film Studio "Kazakhfilm" participated in MIPCOM 2026, the international market for television and audiovisual content held in Cannes, France.
MIPCOM is one of the world's leading international markets, bringing together film studios, production companies, distributors, broadcasters, and streaming platforms from around the globe.
During the event, Kazakhfilm representatives presented Kazakhstani film projects to international industry professionals and explored opportunities for their promotion and distribution in foreign markets.
Business meetings were held with representatives of Warner Bros. (USA), mk2 Films (France), Library Kingdom Cooperation (USA), TRT and Kanal D International (Türkiye), NHK (Japan), and the European media group RTL.
The discussions focused on opportunities to screen Kazakhstani films on international television channels and digital platforms, the acquisition and licensing of audiovisual content rights, the development of international distribution, and potential joint film productions.
Kazakhfilm's participation in MIPCOM 2026 contributed to promoting Kazakhstani cinema internationally, strengthening partnerships with foreign industry professionals, and expanding opportunities for Kazakhstani films to reach global audiences.
