«Kazakh Cinema Meets Parisian Audiences»

From September 17 to 19, 2026, the «Days of Kazakh Cinema» are taking place in Paris, presenting Kazakhstan’s national cinema to French audiences.
As part of the event, screenings are being held of films by Kazakh filmmakers, including «Alpamys Goes to School», «Restart », and «The Gambler».
At the opening ceremony of the «Days of Kazakh Cinema», Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the French Republic Arystanqulova Gulsara Mereyqyzy delivered welcoming remarks, emphasizing the significance of the event.
The film «Alpamys Goes to School» is being presented in a restored 4K version. The screening is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of outstanding film director Abdolla Karsakbayev.
The program also features creative meetings between representatives of the Kazakh film industry and French audiences, providing an opportunity to exchange views on the films presented and the development of national cinema.
The Kazakh creative delegation includes Duman Yerkinbek, director of the film «Qaitadan», Zhalyn Tileubergen, producer of the film, and Dana Muturganova, producer of the film «The Gambler»
The «Days of Kazakh Cinema» taking place in Paris provide an opportunity to present Kazakh cinema to a broad French audience, promote domestic films internationally, and strengthen professional and cultural ties between representatives of the film industries of Kazakhstan and France.
