From History to Modernity: A Kazakhfilm Cinematographic Park to Be Created in Almaty

A new public space dedicated to the history and development of national cinema is planned to be created in Almaty. The project envisions the creation of the Kazakhfilm Cinematographic Park, which will combine cultural spaces, recreational areas and venues for film-related events.
One of the key features of the future park will be an open-air cinema in the form of an amphitheatre, where residents and visitors of Almaty will be able to enjoy screenings of national films under the open sky.
The park's concept includes thematic areas dedicated to the history of national cinema, as well as modern multimedia and interactive elements. These will allow visitors to explore the history of Kazakhstan's cinematography, its prominent figures and landmark films in an accessible and engaging format.
The territory is also planned to include walking areas, recreational spaces and a children's playground. The park could become a venue for film screenings, creative meetings, cultural events and other activities related to national cinema.
The creation of this space is aimed at establishing a new urban cultural venue where national cinema will become an accessible and integral part of Almaty's cultural life.
In turn, the National Film Studio «Kazakhfilm» named after Shaken Aimanov continues to develop projects aimed at preserving, promoting and presenting the national cinematic heritage in a contemporary format. The creation of the Cinematographic Park will become one of the areas of this work, bringing together the history of national cinema, modern technologies and an open cultural space for audiences.
